Community Engagement
Interact
VG has a vibrant and active Interact Club. Throughout the year, Interact raises money for and assists with various community projects around our town. Some include: The CM Vellem Reading Club, VP Aftercare homework assistance, Nombulelo Maths Club, D.D Siwisa Netball and Maths clubs. The Interact Club members enjoy visiting the SPCA on a regular basis to walk their dogs and play with the kittens!
Eco Club
The Eco Club is involved in a number of projects. These include:
1. The Waainek Mass Rearing Facility where they have planted seedlings and prepared plants for scientific testing and trials.
2. Clean up around the Grey Dam.
3. Planting an indigenous tree nursery on the VG grounds.
The Eco Club members are a hard-working group of people who are extremely dedicated to our environment.
